Climbed up the 3'500 ft peak of Mt Greylock yesterday. It's the highest elevation in around the past 800 miles of trail since Three Ridges Mountain in Virginia. The view was mediocre. A observation tower/monument on the summit was closed and the sky was pretty hazy anyways. We stayed at a bunkhouse on the summit and first things first, I took a shower. I hadn't showered in a week... Nuff' said. In the evening the wind picked up, the temperature dropped, and a heavy fog rolled in on the peak. It was a cool feeling to be back up in the high mountains.
